Continued from Galveston Day 2 Part 2.
Next morning, its time to go home!
Our free breakfast, courtesy of the falling bathroom counter.
I was going to feed her a slice of their whole wheat bread, but the was mold on the loaf…gross!
Look at Ah-Ma’s face. Is that not a face filled with love?! These are lucky girls to have such loving grandparents.
Lots of luggage with kids. Kids complicates everything.
She did that. And then she cried about it because she couldn’t take them off.
Don’t remember what she’s crying about now. This is a foreshadowing of the rest of the trip back.
In H town we stopped at the Asian supermarket. They’re better here than in Austin.
Daddy strikes back with tickles!
Fast forward to several hours later. PL would not eat at the restaurant. She wouldn’t even sit still so we had to take turns walking her around outside the restaurant. She then wouldn’t eat any snacks in the car and proceeded to melt down and sob hysterically. It was now past her nap time and she didn’t want to go to bed. Everyone pretended to be asleep again because if anyone looked at her or talked to her or tried to give her food the sobbing became ear-shattering. It worked this time. She fell asleep, only to be woken 40 min later when Ah Gong had a coughing fit. Even before her eyes were open she was crying. You could tell she didn’t remember why she was crying(not sure she ever knew actually) and she soon stopped. We stopped at a gas station and got some snacks for everyone. PL finally ate something.
