Continued from NYC Day 4 Part 1.
I do like the MoMA gift shop. Damn it…I like modern art…
We’ve got this Andy Warhol kids book at home.
That clock brings back memories, for both RL and I.
Last time I came to MoMa, over a decade ago, this was the inside center piece.
Oh no, I’ve fallen and I can’t get back up…also, I’m drunk.
How did they decide on 499? Why not just make it an even 500?
MoMA was surprisingly fruitful as a museum. Not so big like the Met where it’s overwhelming, and much more of the kind of art that we appreciate than the odd conceptual art exhibit that they had at the Guggenheim.
Another super awesome town home. Would live here if I was a billionaire.
NYC and their cars with bumper guards.
Paradoxically, for someone who cares about their car, they also don’t give a shit about their car to put in this lame ass stick on fake vent on the door.
Now heading to lunch. We decided we might as well walk up 5th Ave and check it out.
I wonder what he’s setting up?
Ah, all the fancy stores. Ohh, Bentley.
Didn’t know they are redoing the main Apple store.
Surprised to see they had a Tesla courtesy car for Plaza Hotel. What if it runs out of battery?
The food hall we’ll be having lunch at is located in the basement level of The Plaza Hotel.
Last check for lobster rolls in NYC before we leave.
He’s got a hairnet for his beard.
Two birds with one stone. They had a Lady M counter here with their layered crepe cake. It was on our list of places to try, so it was nice surprise to find one here without us having to go out of our way to try it.
At the Southern edge of Central Park. But, it’s time to head back to our hotel, grab our bags, and go to the airport. This morning was just perfect and we are glad to be leaving on a high note. Everything felt so calm and smooth. The timing for everything also worked out perfectly as well.
Again, NYC subway, WTF. Why these random stations that are skipped? Thankfully we are at the big station, so we haven’t been skipped yet.
I looked beautiful since the first frame.
Bye Times Square, til next time. Actually, next time we probably won’t even come to Times Square.
Down the subway we go. When we arrived here 4 days ago, the walk from this subway station to our hotel felt like a long hectic walk. But today, it was a short light walk. We must have gotten used to the busy bustle of the big city in the past few days.
11 stops, but we’ve got seats so it’s all good.
NYC and their subway dancer performers. Meh. They are too aggressive in trying to get tips and fist bumps. I prefer the mariachi bands.
Here for the transfer to the AirTrain.
That guy ran all the way up the stairs with his luggage over his head.
PreCheck line. On another note, I saw so many people in NYC with Apple AirPods. So this is where people buy them. Also, for baby strollers here in the city, I saw a lot of UPPABaby and no BOBs. Back in Austin, all I see are BOB strollers. Kind of makes sense since BOBs probably take up too much room in NYC.
LOL. Somehow RL set off the metal detectors. Pregnancy means no xray machine but instead a pat down. Hahaha.
Priority Pass started partnering with restaurants and giving you dining credits instead of lounge access. I actually prefer this. $28 credit a person, sign me up!
This we will take to go on the airplane. Since our plane takes off at the awkward hour of 5:30pm, we’ll have to bring our dinner on the plane.
ROID RAGE!!!! That guy was huge, but probably has tiny balls.
There’s a sign on the left for “Pet Relief Room.” It’s time to go home. Missing our kids.
Again, sitting by the window because I love my wife.
This is a nicer plane than the one we came on. We each have our own screen and we get to pick our own show to watch. On the flight here, they showed Black Panther on their shared screens. I didn’t watch it since I took a nap for the first half of the movie. Now I can watch it this time.
Had to get head phones from the plane because my stupid Lightening plug Apple headphones won’t work.
It’s time to eat. Surprisingly good for cold food.
Well, that was fast. We ended up showing up 40min early while leaving NYC right on time!! That’s an incredible tailwind for it being such a short flight.
